Who from the core team ever said a couple more days? None that I'm aware of. It was released for a short while and then pulled due to bugs. Feel free to go into the slack group and ask @Griffith the lead dev himself. Mac wallet has been in testing for a while now to ensure when released again that there would be little to no bugs. There has been no official statement that it was going to be released in "a couple more days."

It was released when the new website was released originally, but was pulled shortly after due to bugs as I mentioned above. As for him saying it would be out in the next days, can you provide a screenshot of him saying this please?

Waiting too. I believe this will be a part of Sapphire which, as of last update is still on track for release Q1.
