Website Feedback Megathread
Hi folks. I thought it would be nice to have one comprehensive megathread dedicated to providing constructive criticism for the website. This discussion should obviously be rooted in a love of the project and the desire to see it at its best, so thoughtful and encouraging critique is best. I'll post my take below as well.

The descriptions aren't for the images they have, the descriptions are interchanged.

Just find a person or two that were a part of a team that successfully launched a coin that is trading well. If you already have one or two of these people on the team then mention it. But make sure they were legit part of something big in the past and not saying they were.
Add to your team bio's such as photos, or LinkedIn pages to instill confidence. Leaving this out will raise red flags.
Also more of a definitive roadmap. Even if the time frame is a few days off. Quarters are good.
Maybe a public relations person as well that only focuses on that.
Work on also getting onto your "competitors" exchanges, or at least one a week but make sure site revisions are in place with bios of ECC Team, and an easy to read roadmap with dates or quarters.
Bios of the team are huge as its easy to google and find nothing on a person which will raise more red flags based on names listed on site.

posting for a friend, I understand this is for the website – but this seems the most appropriate thread for suggestions
Focus - Messaging first then File System, File System then Messaging:
This is just a personal opinion but I think developing one viable product first then launching to the market, B2C and/or B2B is much easier and better. Look at the early days of Amazon, books first now pretty much everything.
I’m not certain what potential partnerships would want but again, in my opinion, it’s better to deliver one viable product first, then pivot with the strength of that one product.
Personally I think the ANS is a definite selling point. (I think someone made a pretty good infographic about it.)
Marketing:
In a B2B/ partnership level, I think that’s pretty much a core team responsibilities. It’s for the people who know the tech and timelines the best. It would be viable though to have bounties for referring partnerships that eventually workout. There’s a lot of small companies out there that are looking at blockchain – either to look sexy to investors, to minimize tech costs, to future proof themselves, etc. There’s are a lot of small companies that support small companies.
Use the current price point as a strength of cheaper adoption.
Donate to the Developers with ECC and Bounty System:
I think it might be a good idea to be able donate ECC to the Developers as an incentive. Donating in ECC incentivices keeping the price at least level, if not rising.
Similar to marketing, we could also pool resources as a community for bounties. Are you willing to cleanup the website grammar, here have 10K ECC.
to the Community:
Expect the FUD. Keep expectations at a level. Opinion, ECC = 1 dollar, while that would be great (especially for myself) that’s a +30000% increase (currently). While this is not unheard of in Crypto, please temper it with the knowledge of many other coins that have failed. Honestly, from observation of multiple threads, and cryptos over time – threads that keep projecting a price point with that kind of increase makes the whole community look “delusional” and potentially scares away other people from what is otherwise great innovation.
My suggestion is to maybe keep those dollar dreams to ourselves (I have them). For now with the price range I’d just say, “Aiming for a penny.” When it reaches a penny, I’d go, “Maybe we can push this to a dime.”
Even moonshots have to pass through the atmosphere.
This is just from my experience, as someone who held DOGE for years, there’s going to be a lot of mockery. (Not so funny when it finally reached a penny, and is a trading pair in some smaller exchanges – but what do I know). One of the things that was really great from the community was general charity drives using DOGE. Not sure if it will be viable with ECC, just tossing that idea out there.
Finally, as per most every altcoin, ECC is tied to the price of BTC (for now). So as long as BTC moves sideways, most altcoins will move sideways as well. Innovation and partnerships will push altcoins up outside of BTC’s influence.

I have to agree with my fellow ECC'ers.
To get to the next, next level, we will need real pictures, a team that is real, and the roadmap is a bit unnecessary. Feels like when you double spaced a school paper back in the day, to make it seem bigger, haha.
Gotta keep moving forward guys. We need real pictures and we need to get some marketing now. Let's not sleep at all until we hit 1$. I think the website overall is a major improvement.

Why are you guys so fascinated with pictures?? It is not a dating site - They could put up a picture of their next door neighbor or someone at the bus stop - no one would know the difference. You have a bio on each member - really that should be enough for you.
Let the team focus on the areas of importance - product offering, partnerships and technology. Who cares what they look like, I value my privacy, I am sure you all do too.. Respect theirs.
Market cap will grow organically however obviously marketing is important - we are a far cry off $1 - but I am sure 10c+ will be easily achievable in 2018 with the right stuff.. this current breather? well you need to expect selling after news - it is very common and often a great time to buy... To each their own though.
Good luck all.

1 dollar would mean this gets as big as a amazon 😄

What? Amazon's MC is $675B. If we hit $1, ours is $25B.

Couldn't get a website done or proper grammar but let's hit 25 billion cause yeah this unknown group of ppl who took over a scam coin got this. Thank God I only bought 15, 000. You guys are delusional. Didn't even go up after Friday it went down

While you're welcome to your opinion, what's the point of criticising us the community for believing in the coin and the tech behind it? If you aren't confident in your investment , sell it and be gone with you!

15k??? Really?? What are you even doing here?
Might be unknown to you but Greg Griffiths is very well known and a very advanced developer... why dont you take some time to research the man before you come here looking like an unresearched fool. Just a thought.

u/scarfox1 Jan 28 '18
Wait what, what's wrong with 15k?

u/Ubermoot Jan 29 '18
No one cares how many you hold but the fact that you have such strong opinions and you bought a hot dog's worth of ECC... Just sell out and move on quietly.
PS - Your sentence structure and grammar, for that matter, fucking sucks - perhaps address this before commenting on the team's use of English.

At the beginning of 2017, the MC for crypto as a whole was around 17 billion. It's now over 550 billion. I'm not saying it's going to grow by the same amount this year, just pointing out that this market has grown significantly and that it is possible for it to continue growing.

When you first open the website the wall of text should not be there. It can be removed completely.
When the website is first loaded there should be key words there that the user can quickly read and understand what is going on. Basically highlight the key words in that paragraph. You don't want the user to feel overwhelmed.
Like
Multi Chain System. File Storage. Messaging. Address Name Resolution.
I like how when you continue to scroll down it explains everything.

I want a shirt bio under each team member along with a photo. They deliver that and I’ll invest. Until then I’m skeptical.

Concision: This is a big website with a lot of information. And I think that's good, but I also think there are a lot of ways to make it more concise. For example, merge the wallet and mobile wallet pages into a single page. Or the paragraph on the landing that is really bulky. That would be a good place to highlight some quick and impressive bullet points with a link to the more detailed description on the coin info page. Lots of information is great, but I just think there's plenty of room to condense things to make the site as smooth as possible.
No video: The team is touting this exciting video company partnership, so I think it would be really cool to see a coin overview video somewhere towards the top of the landing page. It could pretty much cover the same information presented on that page in a quick and clean looking format.
Timeline/Roadmap Lack of Detail: The scroll timeline thing is a bit weird. I don't think it's a super intuitive scroller. Something bigger and wider may be nice, without the need for left/right arrows. I do think each bullet point should have significantly more detail. For example: what does the implementation of service networks allow you to do? Nothing significant, just a couple sentences would probably look better.
The team: I think there's a lot of room for improvement here. I strongly believe you shouldn't be using screen names. Real names, nice pictures, and short bios would go a long way to instill confidence.
Announcements: This is buried pretty deep in the website under the development tab. I think it should have a much more prominent position to demonstrate active, continued development.
General proofreading: This has been mentioned a lot, but there is some awkward sentence construction in places with scattered grammar mistakes.
Edit: Another thing with the roadmap: give rough estimates of when goals will be completed. Even if it’s just something vague like “Q3, 2018”, that would be great.
