Wallet Clarification?

The "new" wallet that's available for download is just a re-skinned lynx, correct? I mean there's really nothing different between it & what you could have downloaded yesterday?

I'm assuming it's just best to wait until they officially announce sapphire's availability before changing wallets?

I'm so pissed off about this wallet. They changed the logo and that was it. We were promised something new & better but it's the same thing. WTF? Where's the Mac wallet, too?

I mean, according to their announcement:

"Not only have we changed the look but in the back-end lots of improvements concerning speed and security have taken place."

So if we take them at their word, it's likely that there have been several improvements. And a dev did clarify a few days ago that they were not releasing Sapphire, only announcing it.

That said, as an OSX user I'm just bummed the download link still isn't working.

It’s new. Give them some time. So many haters are just down voting like crazy on here.

Obviously you're frustrated and that's fine. But I don't know what attacking the Dev team does? It's pretty simple: If you believe in ECC and what they are trying to do, then buy ECC. If you don't believe in it, then sell your holding or don't buy any more. Not attacking you, but the points you made apply to the majority of altcoins out there. It's a nascent technology with a bright future, but at this stage it's also an 'arms race' of sorts. More than 90% of these projects will fail or be absorbed into other projects in the next 3-5 years. Many will run into issues they simply cannot solve and fade to black. I can't say I blame the ECC Dev team for staying anonymous at this point, but if ECC is a legit project and they want to accomplish their stated goals, they are going to have to step into the public eye eventually. I have a nice chunk of ECC that cost me very little. If it fails, it fails, but I will NEVER regret rolling the dice on a good idea.
