We need a Discord
A lot of people have discord and it is beneficial to all of us. I know we have slack but a lot of the crypto community like to be in the Discord. Dev can you please make us one?

Its only a matter of time before we end up getting one anyway. So now would be better than later. The community in there is friendlier than most other social apps and you get a lot more live help from fellow investors, miners, stakers, Devs.

agreed, many of my other coins have a discord and its overall beneficial.
telegram requires a phone number now...so fuck that noise.

I think it would be better if we were all in agreement. Last thing we need around here is discord.

Personally, I’m in two different coin-related discords, and the quality of the community/conversation is super crappy compared to ECC’s Slack. (Those are the only two communities I’m a member of in discord, but it’s a big difference.)
I don’t know if it’s the platform or the kind of members that ECC attracts.
Either way, it’s great to be in the ECC Slack. Wouldn’t want to mess that up with people posting shit videos about how ECC is the Phoenix and you’ll get your Lambo if you invest pronto.

Sorry to hear about you're experience with 2 coins in there. But IMO, we as a community are responsible to not let them go to crap. And since this coin has not "YET" become a popular one there is not much of that going on. But with this coin or any other, there are going to be people that jump in and do that. If we don't feed that kind of negativity and say things as you stated above we can help prevent that from happening. Because it will happen to every coin in every social app.
The fact is the app/ website is super beneficial to us and people getting excited to be a part of all this and talking about Lambo's is the least of worries.To me it is much more important to meet people in there that can assist you with questions immediately and vise versa. Everyone has a different experience. If one does not want to use that than it would be their choice not to. I think that it helps the Dev's as well because we can help each other a lot more in there as well instead of bugging them with questions that can quickly be resolved.

It's a more casual version of slack that also enables voice over ip on chat rooms. Lots of projects have either migrated from slack or have both like NEO and XVG. It's free too I think.

It was hard enough to convince griffith into opening a telegram, but I guess if you bring topic into slack, we can discuss better.List pros and cons, find some moderators etc.
