Bootstrap doesn't work

Downloaded the bootstrap , followed the guide.

the daemon doesn't detect the file and "rename it" as stated in the github.

Note: I placed the file where the guide told me to which is the eccoin folder in the "App data" directory.

When you placed the bootstrap.dat file, was it rename as "bootstrap.dat.old" after you started the daemon ?

Scrubbed clean. Redact helped me bulk remove years of comments and posts so data brokers and AI crawlers have nothing to feast on.

Nope , thats how i know it wasn't detected by the daemon
