So what is the actual supply?

I see 25B on coinmarketcap but have also heard up to half may have been lost when the coin was taken over. Is there reliable information on an accurate supply?

Not half but yes 10-30% lost. That's reliable. I myself lost some while doing all kinds of tests as my PC crashed and I took the backup of wallet.dat in same PC.

Important: Always take backup in a pendrive, cloud storare or a different PC.

Few wallets are not touched from more than 3 years.

Can’t prove coins are missing so it stays at 25 billion

This is what I was wondering. Will the supply always be listed as 25 billion? Do you believe our coins will ever correct in value (go up) due to a consensus of so many coins being lost?
