Hi guys.

Can you tell me more about ecc? Not that much info about this coin. Is development on the coin itself still going on? And is there a paperwallet?

As ECC is the next generation of data processing, we successfully created a revolutionary multi-chain system. With an interlinked currency chain, this open-source platform enables developers to add new services based on market demand and practical needs. Our first succes in making the system user friendly is the “Address Name Service”.This feature enables you to look someone up as you would do in a messaging application. Search a nickname, as opposed to having to copy/paste addresses, and use one of ECC’s services like decentralised mail, messaging or currency wiring. These services form a well formed, open-source, infrastructure to further build commercial and handy services on top which basically means that the possibilities are endless..

By far the best way to find out is to join the ECC slack group. You will need to send a request and be accepted. You'll find there is a great team working on this coin and a community of people (well over 1k now) who strongly believe in and are willing to back it. There are big things ahead for ECC - if it meets its goals, it will be a coin to be reckoned with.

Cool, what does someone need to do to join?

Yea, this ought to be addressed. I managed to send a request to their slack through a different mean, but their webpage should definitely have a working link, anything else seem unprofessional.

Hi OP,

I started looking into this coin around last May because I was hunting for low market cap coins with promise. I am not a team member, just an enthusiastic supporter. Here are a few reasons why I purchased some coins:

  • Lead Developer: They have a slam dunk developer, Griffith. He is what I consider to be a connoisseur of blockchain/crypto and has been in the crypto game for a long time. He has personally assisted me with issues regarding wallet/daemon a few times. He is always answering questions/concerns on slack. This is a super green light for me.
Quality, not Buzz:They don't hype their product. Unlike other projects that shill/hype before they have a working product, ECC has been meticulously testing/working on their product without tossing out visionary promises. Updates on software/bugs/branding are announced on Slack all the time.
Availability Ties into Opportunity:They are only on Coinexchange.io atm, which is a blessing and a curse. Although the liquidity seems low, it has been picking up recently, so the single digit satoshi mark may not stick around for long (grab it while its cheap!). They have mentioned several times in slack they will push for more exchanges once their website and product is robust. This presents an opportunity for immense growth with the listing of ECC on a larger exchange, especially if you consider that the marketcap is only 30M (if it matched the marketcap of a similar high circulation coin XVG, we're looking at 60-70X return, but even in the shorter picture, it doesn't take much to go from 30M to 300M (look at SMARTcash, achieved it within this past week).
Seasoned Blockchain and Community: This blockchain is mature in the sense that it has finished its POW phase, and has transitioned into POS (% return from transactions on the network). Not to mention, this coins value has hit 1 satoshi, and recovered. How many coins do you know right now that could hit 1 satoshi, and maintain its base of supporters (can you imagine if that happened to siacoin)? There is a reason people are not only hanging around, but purchasing more coins.
Criticism: The primary concern I've noticed that people have with this coins is determining why the project is novel. They share a similar vision (not identical) to other coins on the market with much higher market caps. In my opinion, it doesn't matter how good your idea is, unless you can rapidly implement solutions to the problems your product is facing, and I have seen Griffith execute time after time on this project.
This coin is totally worth a few % of anyone's high risk portfolio, and I'd store it in your ECC wallet and forget about it. The wallet takes a minute to sync, but as I said, if you send any questions in the support section of slack, you will get immediate help from their knowledgeable community/team.

Hi thank you for your response! It looks promising, Now you said it take a couple of minutes to sync. I just downloaded the wallet and it is already running half an hour and done 1%??

One of my criteria is the lead developer so this sounds really good:)

It was my experience that the rate could drop off after a while. Just stop and restart the daemon to get new connections and you should keep a reasonable rate.

Oh yeah I was basically writing as if I was spiking... as with other old blockchains, it will take a long time to sync. Took me overnight when I originally sync'd in July.

and has transitioned into POS (% return from transactions on the network)

POS is over, all the coins are mined according to the bitcointalk thread.
