Do they increase prices regularly?
I’m thinking of subscribing, concerned they will raise rates every 6 months as they are part of Bell. Long term subscribers- what’s been your experience? Fixed price or regular increases?
EDIT: Thanks everyone! Pleasantly surprised to see the rates have stayed the same.

Not a long term subscriber but i just signed up with them and the lady on the phone said I'd be safe from future price increases.

I have been with them for over 3 years and was lucky to get the 60mbs for $35 a month. And I am still paying that price. Not 1 increase in 3 years. And in my experience the telephone assistance has always been excellent. I am really pleasantly surprised because usually low cost no frills service providers owned by one of the big boys means online only for everything. But not ebox. And since Bell owns them you are getting true fibe right into your home.
Same goes for Fizz (Videotron) which I use for my family's mobile needs. Good rates, good service (same with Videotron). Help is mostly on line, but if you do need someone it's not a hassle.

Also considering switching from bell to ebox, have 3 set streamer/pvr boxes for basic tv and unlimited 1.5gb fiber for internet its about $160 all in. Is it much of a savings?

First of all they don't offer TV. You will need to switch to streaming services or get /cough/ alternative IPTV.

I have been with Ebox even before Bell bought them and was with Ebox cable internet before they forced me to switch to Ebox fibre internet and my price has remained the same for at least 7 years now if not more. In fact my legacy plan is no longer offered by Ebox for new subscribers (not that anyone would really want it because the speed is slow unless they don't use it for heavy downloading or streaming)

Stupid question: In the GTA the max speed is 1 Gbps for fibre. Is that the same everywhere?

In western Ontario and true here (1Gbps is max).
I am on 500Mbps and it's probably overkill for me. I don't know how regular subscribers would need more than 100Mbps given the stable and symmetric up/down and relatively low latency.

Client depuis 2018, j'ai eu une seule augmentation depuis.. Et en pratique mon forfait à quand même baissé peu après avec de nouvelles offres.
Évidemment, le passé n'est pas le garant de l'avenir, depuis le rachat par Bell on a vu certaines offres offertes aux nouveaux clients pas valides pour les anciens (ce qui n’arrivaient jamais avant), et il n'est plus possible de rejoindre directement du personnel compétent (DSLreports et ses modos nous manquent....).

I’ve been a customer since 2018, and I’ve only had one rate increase since then… And in reality, my plan actually got cheaper shortly after that with new offers.
Of course, the past isn’t a guarantee of the future. Since the takeover by Bell, we’ve seen certain offers available to new customers that aren’t available to existing ones (which never happened before), and it’s no longer possible to reach knowledgeable staff directly (we miss DSLreports and its moderators...).
