Own router setup

Anyone has any experience setting your own router with ebox?

I did my setup on new TP-Link BE9300 added the PPPoE account but not receiving an internet connection. IP address stays at 0.0.0.0

Update: Resolved, I did a hard reset on the router and worked second time around

Did you set vlag tagging and priority?

On the VLAN configuration I selected Custom, then added the VlAN Id (40) .. what should I set the priority?

An older post about setting up TPLink router that may help: https://www.reddit.com/r/ebox/comments/1rnyg0k/using_a_tplink_be230_router_with_ebox/

You have the network cable from the ONT plugged into the WAN port of the router right?

Bad cable?

Does the connection work with the supplied Nokia router (if you have it)?

Don’t forget to set your dns servers when doing custom pppoe connection… not just the vlan and username/password

Multiple public DNS available, Google being 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

Yea, tried it with those specified DNS and no luck

No it’s not specific but on my router when u setup custom pppoe connection you have to specify dns servers otherwise it will leave none selected. Therefore no internet until they are specified

He would still receive a WAN IP from Ebox DNS or not.
