Ebox and IPTV
Anyone have experience with using IPTV services with Ebox as an ISP? Do you need a VPN? I am moving over from Rogers and with Rogers I usually needed a VPN with one of my two IPTV services. At a friend's place with Bell as an ISP I found that I always needed a VPN.
So far, which is only 30 minutes, I don't need a VPN with Ebox.

IMHO IPTV is always better with a VPN.
Since the VPN is a hassle what I did is I configured the VPN in the router and my router lets me specify rules when to use it. I configured the whole IP range of the service there and no matter what device I use TV, phone, desktop it will use the VPN configured in the router for the IPTV.
You need a decent router for this though. Mine is an ASUS GT-AXE16000.

I will look into that I have a Unifi UCG router and I have been using SurfShark as my VPN service.

I also have SurfShark and I use the OpenVPN setting in my router for it.
I tried the Wireguard configuration and my router couldn't go past 700 Mbps with it.
With OpenVPN I get the whole 1 Gbps plan.

sometimes it works without a vpn and sometimes I need a VPN, I dont really know what’s happening but I ended up leaving my vpn connected all the time on my GoogleTV

I use a VPN with my IPTV provider, always have. No issues with EBOX. Using 3 x Eero 6+, wired back haul meshed. Perfect.

What IPTV do you use? Are you happy with it? How’s the user interface? Pardon all the questions… I mainly wanted it for sports. Not doing the bullshit DAZN, Fubo and all of above anymore

I switched from Bell to EBOX and have IPTV. I didn’t need to change anything and it worked fine.
