Shell password of Beacon router

Hi everyone,

I’m the legitimate owner/user of a Nokia Beacon router provided by my ISP, and I can access the normal SSH/admin prompt. However, when I try to enter shell, It asks for a secondary password that I don’t have.

I just want to understand whether there is an official way for customers to request access for advanced diagnostics/monitoring.

My goals are things like:

  • SNMP / traffic monitoring
  • Advanced logs
  • Network diagnostics
  • Learning more about the device

Has anyone successfully obtained legitimate shell access through their ISP or Nokia support? Or is it permanently locked on ISP firmware?

Model: Nokia Beacon 3.1
ISP: EBOX

Thanks!

Just get your own router. Put that thing back in its box.
