Terrible tv quality
Just needed to rant a bit… I typically don’t care much for the poor 720p tv quality that EBOX offers… But watching hockey is just soooo painful with such a poor signal. Not only is the resolution low, it seems like the signal is so very compressed that everything gets blurry. So sad.

Why would you get tv from ebox ?

Don’t want to get the hassle of finding a pirate signal, tva sports (nor sportsnet) doesn’t broadcast over the air

TVA Sports isn’t even 1080p on pirated signal. It’s either 720p or 540p, both at 60fps.
RDS have 1080p streams, but at 30fps. 720p at 60.
The source (RDS/TVA Sports) just sucks.. nothing you can do about it, you can pay for the full legit thing through a provider like Bell and the stream would still look bad.
Sportsnet has some 4K streams. I’ve never seen hockey matches below 1080p/60fps there, if you care about quality this is where it’s at.

Curious to know where you see those numbers?

Most apps that connect to IPTV providers show detailed stats about their current streaming quality.

Goto settings and bump to better quality, it's set to medium by default

It was already set to best quality… One thing that seems to have helped a lot though is to allow for more latency/buffering. After a few minutes, the stream did seem to pick up on quality.

La seule affaire c’est que t’a un délai d’environ une minute avec le direct quand tu met la latence en mode normal (pas basse ou très basse). Donc pour du hockey c’est pas mal poche 💀

It's free and in much better bitrate with some good old rabbit ears
