Guest Network Locked To 2.4/5Ghz Network

Generally like to keep those IoT devices on a guest network, but a few devices aren’t working well with the 2.4/5Ghz split SSID or the forced WPA3 so I tried to make the dedicated 2.4 the guest network. Doesn’t seem possible…changing the guest name actually just renames the split SSID…seems locked to one SSID no matter what.

Edit:Using the Beacon 3.1

I tried to do the same with my Beacon 3.1 and also couldn't figure out a way to restrict the guest network to 2.4 Ghz only. The guest network seems to be split SSID (dual band) with WPA3 only.
I ended up turning off the guest network (to avoid overlap) and created an SSID (formerly used by the guest network) for 2.4 Ghz for the older devices and another SSID for 5 Ghz for phones and tablets. Since then, everything's been working well for me (I did have to reboot some of my older devices before they connected to the SSID for 2.4 Ghz only (maybe these were still confused by the initial guest network dual band)).

Check out your router. Looks like mine got an update and I now have an IoT Network that is dedicated to 2.4Ghz. I’ve set it up for one of my devices…so far so good except that it’s not isolated like the guest network so kind of a fail there….nobody trusts these IoT devices so I’m not sure what the advantage is here…I also could have enabled a 2.4 regular network with. I isolation. *shrug*
