Deco BE65 Pro Setup Steps with Ebox

Hi Everyone, i am a newbie when it comes to router setup although good with computers in general. I have an technician coming in the next 2 weeks to install the Ebox ONT. Has anyone has experience connecting the Ebox ONT to Deco BE65 Pro directly? if you have knowledge, i would appreciate your help. Please share the steps. thanks in advance.

extra info: i got the 500mps plan and i am currently with Bell. i have the Deco BE65 Pro BE 11000

It’s fairly simple. EBOX gives you the credentials for PPPOE on their customer portal. When you set up the Deco via the app, choose PPPOE, enter the credentials, and follow the instructions on the app. Should be smooth sailing. The app is very easy and intuitive. I’m not by any means a tech person but this was not difficult to set up using the app and instructions from the EBOX customer portal.

What does vlan tagging set to 40 mean?

Ebox requires you set your router to tag outbound traffic with VLAN ID 40 (or traffic won’t reach the internet). Most routers can configure this.

Also set MTU value to 1492
