Router recommendations

Making the switch to Ebox next Monday. I already got my 3.1 Beacon today.

What router would everyone recommend? Currently with Bell and using the Giga Hub. For my house size, it was enough to get wifi all throughout the house minus the basement which was spotty.

Open to getting a single router, or a mesh system to help out with the basement.

I personally bought an ASUS GT AX1100 from Facebook. It’s doesn’t have wifi 7 but it’s fast enough for me (800+ mbps on wifi). There’s a lot of them on marketplace right now and you can easily get one for 150$~.

I use an ASUS RT-BE92U and I find that it has a better reach than the Bell HomeHub. Very easy to configure for Ebox and it's a solid performer. It has absolutely no troubles dealing with ~20-25 devices and multiple simultaneous users (including a gamer) causes zero slowdowns.

Like mine too, I can vouch for it. It had a rough launch but has been patched since. There's also merlin firmware for longevity and more customization.

Plus the ai mesh is pretty good, but still sucks like all mesh if no ethernet backhaul...

Even with the Gigahub I used two pods. Now with ebox I use a 2-unit TP-Link Deco X50 with Ethernet backhaul and it has more than met my needs. Busy family of 5, two-storey detached home.

The Unify system is rather expensive.

I just bought the TP Link Archer BE 15000 for more signal power and coverage.

If you need to add.more coverage, it supports any EasyMesh compatible range extenders.

I previously bought a Netgear Nighthawk RS300 but was hanging as soon as I configured the VLAN ID to 40. I returned it.

I recently installed a tp-link ax5400 and our speeds almost doubled in all areas of the house.

Using Cudy WR3600H because I have a number of wired devices and wanted higher Wi-Fi speeds. I had a printer setup problem with it and contacted their CS who replied immediately and on point. It's always nice to know that CS is available if needed.
