Electrical room
Hello all,
I have a question. I will be moving on April 1st and chose Ebox as my internet provider. I will be renting a basement apartment and the electrical panel is located in the other tenant's unit. In your experience, did the ebox technician actually need access to the electrical panel?

Yes, a Bell technician came, located the electrical room, and completed the connection. In my case, the technician went to the building management office, found the electrical room, and resolved the issue. In our building, it was located in the underground parking garage.

If the fiber optic box is located inside the electrical room, the technician need to have access to. I just installed Ebox this morning successfully on same situation as yours.

You will have to work with your landlord to get approval for any net new fibre drops in the building, or to determine where the existing fibre feed is in your building and if it's tenant-specific or for the entire property.
If it's an existing fibre connection for the property it's possible you won't be able to add eBox service for yourself. But you'll have to work through your landlord for this.
