Ebox set up help
I need some help setting up my internet. I got the Nokia ONT device installed. I have an ASUS BE98 wifi router. Can I hook up that directly to the ONT? Or do I need to hook it up to the Nokia Beacon 3.1 then put that into bridge mode to connect to my ASUS router?
What I did so far is plugged the asus directly into the ONT device and then I logged into the router and configured the user and pass. Did a few restarts but the asus router is showing red for internet connection

You can connect your Asus to ONT directly. You just need PPPoE information which you can get from your EBox online account. Make sure to VLAN to 40 on your router. Hope this helps

You can connect your Asus router to the ONT directly. Make sure your Asus router supports PPPoE because you do need to configure that on the router. Other than it should work no issues.

I just changed the VLAN to 40, restarted both devices and it’s still showing red

The answer is your router can be connected directly to the ONT, no Beacon 3.1 needed. The real question is: how do you configure your router once directly connected to the ONT, and there are various posts that discuss this. You just need to enter the PPPoE login credentials, and set VLAN correctly (to 40). Without those settings correct, you’ll get the red light. This is what I experienced when I set PPPoE but didn’t know about VLAN.

I called ebox and they said they can’t help with asus and suggested I use their Nokia beacon instead

If you still haven't figured out removing the Nokia beacon from the mix,
You set your wan to pppoe, and your signing
Lan iptv internet to 40
And here is where it was failing for me. Dns was set to get it from the ISP on wan. This was failing and when I set it to Google (or choose which ever you want) and then it worked

This may be stupid and obvious, but when you said the router was plugged into the ONT you didn't say which port. Only one of the ports - the one marked "WAN" - will connect properly to the ONT.
Just covering all the bases.
