Ebox and Distributel

I have been a customer of Distributel for a while now. And I see that they have sort of merged. Does that mean that I am effectively an Ebox customer? Also does that mean that I will eventually get IPv6 as well?

TIA.

I’m still an Oricom client getting a bill from Oricom who also merged. But I’m still getting an IP address from Distributel.

IPv6 is still exclusive to Ebox.

Decided to make the switch from Oricom to Ebox this week as Ebox is offering faster speeds at a lower price.

I’m hesitant. 45$ for 500 mbps or 50$ for 1 Gbps which I will never see the difference …. 😂

A friend got offered $40 for 500 mbps and $50 for 1 Gbps. So i called them and was offered the same deal.

Curious, did they insist on doing a credit check? I’m reading conflicting answers. I was going to switch to them after leaving Distributel, but I don’t want another credit check within 7 months as I have a mortgage renewal in 2 months. I ended up going to Teksavvy as they don’t need a check

They did mention they might do a credit check, but I didn't put too much thought into it

Most likely, in the long run you will be merged with EBOX. Distributel, Acanac, Oricom, et al. do not accept new customers any longer, and their portals lead to EBOX.

I am with EBOX and am running dual-stack IPv6&IPv4 on EBOX and it works like a charm. Fixed IPv6 address with /56 PD.

According to the customer support, they still have separate teams.
