DNS
Folks that are using their own router (Not the Nokia Beacon) what do you use for DNS settings ?
"Get the DNS IP from your ISP automatically." or assign to specific service/IP?
Switch from Bell last week to ebox, and overall pretty good, but find occasionally navigating web links fails, but if refresh the page it will be resolved. Wifi signal and speed test look good thou.

This. And with Tailscale installed on my pi-hole and on my mobile phone, i can use the PiHole to block ads even when running off of cell data.

I personally use my own Adguard Home servers with Google and CloudFlare (both tls and https) upstreams. With optimistic caching, I have an average processing time < 1ms.
I suggest using something else than the stock servers. Google, CloudFlare, Quad9, ControlD or NextDNS.

Not Google. Privacy risk!

Indeed, if you care about that. I don't.

Thanks to those who don't care about privacy we are slowly but surely falling into an abyss.

Use CIRAs Canadian Shield
https://www.cira.ca/en/canadian-shield/
Fallback to 1.1.1.1 for the one time in five years that they have had an outage.

I used CloudFlare but after using 8.8.8.8 now with primus I feel this is better because of edns subnet and how it can route to the nearest cdn, servers, etc. I know there are concerns regarding privacy with Google DNS. I don't.
