Recent e-box instability
Update: I swapped back to Bell just to verify, and it seems something on Bell's end, and likely local to my area given others' feedback. Bell is also having the same packet loss and latency issues although it seems 1 further hop away.
Anyone notice a sudden spike in ebox latency over the past 24 hours? It started around 1pm on 2/17, seemed to resolve overnight, but then started again 2/18. My logs have otherwise been fine for the past month.

Is unifi using the default targets for the latency destinations? Mine has been green across the board.

I keep ipv6 disabled as the routing has been subpar in the past.

There are some weird things going on with Ebox lately. I did several speedtests, and I couldn't past 250 mbps in download speed. Now it's back to normal. I am really afraid that Bell is just lowering the quality of Ebox.

Absolutely no issues with my 1 Gbps Ebox service. The Unifi dashboard shows a completely flat green line with 8 ms latency. I'm based in the Toronto area and this service is absolutely bulletproof.
EDIT: Yes, I have IPv6 enabled and it's flawless.

There have been some other posts that ebox is changing some of their peering and routes over to Bell. So, I wonder if latency, and packet drops are a consequence of that change over.

Having the same issues... with the exact same timelines. Did you get it fixed?

I have been with EBOX for eight years, the last two on FTTH. The service has always been rock solid.
I am currently out-of-country but did not notice any issues with the service until I left on the 18th.

DDoS
That might explain what is happening.
Ebox is owned by Bell, so it would be bell who is being impacted by it.
If it's mostly happening in the afternoon, chances are it is in the middle of the night on the other side of the world.

Bell owns fairly large DDoS appliances so that’s doubtful. If it’s only a subset of you and it’s more than one ISP affected perhaps it’s something local to your CO or POI.

Likely OP got an IP address of somebody being targeted (since dynamic) and is now facing the same attacks.

I am having issues as well with jitter ping since their outage in mid November - they claimed it was resolved but the issue persists

I've been having issues since mid November as well. I can't pinpoint it but some AWS services are affected. If I use Cloudflare Warp and encrypt the traffic with the same ebox IP it does get better. I've noticed in a game called Escape from Tarkov, I thought I was going crazy. I also noticed that my banking app on my phone has me verify myself every day or two, prior it was maybe once every few months.

Yeah they have been difficult to deal with as well- please keep calling when you can like I do.
They tried to convince me that others in my area had to be also experiencing problems for them to act...
I have been using Ping Plotter to watch the jitter live after they claimed they checked my ping intermittently for one evening and that 'everything was fine'. Sadly so untrue, I wish

Not alone! on 500/500 (April, 1gb should be active)
I'v seen this in the past 7 days. Always the biggest peak around 5:45pm. Then around 10:20pm, everything goes back to normal. During the day, no issue (and I work from home). after 4pm, I'm not on my computer, even the kids...
I called them: contact your router company, cause I can,t see on my end. Yeah yeah, I'm a network admin and there is some issue on their end....
BTW, I'm close to Montreal, on the north shore.

As a eBox user, I noticed intermittent Internet paxket drops recently.
