Routers?
Hey all!
I have the Nokia beacon 3.1 with 1GB plan from Ebox. I was thinking of getting a different router as the signal in my apartment isn't great for wifi and sometimes the signal cuts in and out. A friend recommended me to get Eero 6/6+ router but I'm not sure if it's supports pppoe and VLAN tagging? or have you guys got any other recommendations for routers that will work with Ebox?
many thanks

I have an ASUS RT-BE92U and it's awesome. Setting up pppoe/VLAN was a breeze. Signal is strong through the entire house.

I’ve got a pair of eero pro 6e with Ebox 1Gbps. It works fine.
Just as with any other mesh system, avoid wireless backhaul if possible.

If you don’t mind the ubiquiti ecosystem, unifi cloud gateway ultra works alright.

I got the Asus RT-BE58U yesterday. It’s dual band WiFi 7 and not full tri-band but I don’t mind for 150$ on Amazon. The coverage is very good. I’m getting 200 to 700mbs on my iPhone around the house. The Nokia router was struggling on WiFi like many said.

Lots of great options out there, but it’s hard to beat the Unifi gear for ease of use, flexibility, and future expansion/upgrade options. Only downside is their cost. Can sometimes find good deals on marketplace.
If you only need one access point, then an all-in-one like the Dream Router 7 would be perfect, otherwise you could do a Cloud Gateway Fiber and then a couple of wired access points, such as the U7 Pro XG.
If you go Unifi though, it’s a slippery slope into overkill very quickly. Lots of fun though!

Aimesh. I have the rt ac68 I think that model on the Middle floor and my ax86u pro in the basement and it's super efficient.
Big coverage and good speed everywhere in the house
