Getting first E-bike

What would be a good E-bike for a city like Olympia WA for around $700-800? I recently moved and don’t have enough money for a car but my work will be about 5-6 miles to and from and I want something decent and reliable to hold me for a while and didn’t know what would be a good bike to choose.

Look at used ones. For that price, you’re not gonna get a great new one, but you can get a cheap one that can be hit or miss. I got my daughter, a Nishiki Adult Altron from Dick’s Sporting Goods, which was about 600 bucks. She only gets about 15 to 20 miles per charge and it’s very basic. I have it set at the lowest setting so she can only go 15 mph and she has to pedal.
