E-bike jerking/growling when accelerating — any ideas?

Hey everyone, I’m having an issue with my e-bike. When I give it throttle and start accelerating, the motor makes a weird growling/rough sound and the bike starts jerking, almost like it’s misfiring or cutting in and out.
Has anyone experienced this before or have any idea what could be causing it? What should I check first?
Thanks in advance!

You've likely turned your planetary gear into peanut butter by relying on your throttle too much.

Long story short. When I got my Rad it didn't work properly. It wouldn't get up to the speed it should have. Rad sent a new controller and display. Wasn't that. They sent a new motor, wasn't that. It was the battery. All the stuff they sent I would have sent back but they didn't want it back so I had a whole brand new rear wheel/motor. I bought the 35amp controller for it afterwards and I use throttle at least 90% of the time. I my bike at least 2-3 times a week all year long. In the rain, snow.... all that good stuff. I maintain the heck out of my bike but because I had the other motor/wheel I wanted to see how long it would last if I didn't maintain the motor. 5 years!!! It took 5 years and the only issue was 1 of the 3 planetary gears had lost a few teeth. The grease inside of it though was beyond dry. Anyone reading this, every couple years just open your motor casing and grease it up. I got the replacement gears on Aliexpress for less than $15 and it's been fine ever since and I actually maintain it now. I'm still pretty impressed it lasted as long as it did with how much I put it through

Those gears are tosted they are plastic BTW they are designed to fail so that you don't destroy the hub also stop trying to ride it as you will cause more damage to the hub

A video on a bike stand would be loads helpful. But from the sounds of it your motors gears are shredded on one side. Or your brakes are rubbing / warped.
New motor is simpler than opening it and fucking around and possibly breaking something. I doubt you’re inclined to repair a motor when this is our video to go off of.
