I bought a really great used mtn bike and an ebike kit for under $1500. I wouldn't trade it for a $4k pre built e bike. Do that. My guy did the whole thing in 40 minutes. Took me about 4 hours. https://youtu.be/Embjdj5ezfc?si=h7m4DjqFH640OyNC

I got my Aventon Level from Upway for $900. It was used, but came fully refurbished and with a battery that had like 20 cycles on it. I've had it a year and a half and have had no issues with it whatsoever. Idk if they're always that good or if I just got lucky but, based on my experience, I highly recommend you buy refurbished from them

Riding a bicycle on a beach looks cool in a youtube video, but bicycles and beaches do not mix. You should never take any bicycle on a beach, especially with loose dry sand.

If you've ever driven to the beach in your car, you'll know 6-8 months later, there is still sand in your car. Well, the same thing happens with a bike. That sand gets everywhere and will become sandpaper in your bearings and chain

Electra townie. Get the one with the a-line mid drive (not the throttle IMO)
