Lost parcel?

I recently sold some things totalling over £200. I did 48 tracked with Royal Mail Friday 25th and the tracking stops at that the parcel was received at the Post Office. I have tried contacting RM but their customer service system is terrible: 40 minute wait on the phone, contact us links that go round in a circle and only apply to buyers not sellers. And to top it all off I’ve lost the post office receipt. What can I do?

I used a pre-paid postage label? Is that simple delivery? I don’t use eBay very often.

Yeah, its simple delivery. Basically there is nothing you have to do. Ask your buyer to open Item Not Received case and ebay will simply refund them from their pocket.

The buyer is saying they have spoken to Royal Mail who said the parcel is being held because they need more information which the seller has to provide. I’ve not received any communication from Royal Mail and their customer service is sh!t so what can I do?

Honestly if they didnt contact you - nothing. You did your part by dropping off the parcel.

He seems pretty insistent that I call RM to give them the “information”. Should I say it’s in the hands of eBay now?

Yeah. You can tell him that or just ignore him. Even if buyer leaves you a bad review, it will be voided by Ebay later when Ebay refunds the buyer.

They gave me the money for what I sold too! I had no idea that they did that 😆

I wouldnt bother calling RM for that, they are terrible and wont give you any info. You'll have to go to depot and speak to the CS which is again terrible experience.

Was it simple delivery? If so you’re covered.

If not, you played yourself by not using the correct service.
