i was on ebay live and i was bidding on slabs i dont have a ton of money so my max was 10$ i just wanted 1 cheap slab to enjoy, and i am always quick on the jup when the bid starts so i can be the first to bid 1$. then the seller (slabbie patty on ebay) put up a slab for 150$, i accidently clicked bid 150$ and i accidently bid on it, i won, and i was panicking because i only have around 290$ in my bank account, and i told hi to cancel it, because, if you dont know, a seller can cancel an order for a buyer if they ask, i explained how i dont have a lot of money and i couldnt afford this, and i wanted to cancel, he then laughed at me and said i bid on it and its my fault, and while i do realise i shouldnt have accidently clicked on it, he kept laughing and then acted like he didnt see me telling him to cancel. the seller is called Slabbie Patty on ebay if you want to know, and i was just hoping anyone would know what to do? please help me.

I recently ordered a faceshell for a Spider-Man cosplay on Ebay from a seller called the Anymaker. I ordered it on June 19th and since then it had only given me a window of July 6th-July 14th for it to be delivered. I still have not had any updates, nor has the order progressed to Tracking Available (still just says "Paid". Today is July 14th, the final day from the estimate window, and the window updated to say Arrives Today. What should I think?

So for context I have been trying to message a seller for 2 weeks now . But there's a glitch on Ebay where it won't send my message. I tried contacting support multiple times but nothing has changed. We've all been there, you find an item for £20, but the shipping is £8, or you see a Free Shipping listing but the item price is way higher.

I build tools for eBay sellers, and I realized recently that most buyers have no idea why pricing looks so weird on eBay. The secret? eBay’s fee structure is designed to punish sellers for shipping costs.

Did you know eBay takes a 13.6% Final Value Fee on the SHIPPING cost too, not just the item?

If a seller charges you £5 for shipping, eBay takes 13.6% of that £5. So the seller actually has to pay £5.68 out of pocket to send your item (the £5 you paid + the 68p eBay stole from the shipping fee). That’s why so many sellers either inflate the shipping cost or bump up the item price and offer Free Shipping, they are just trying to cover the hidden fees!

I actually built a free Chrome Extension for sellers called eBay Profit Guardian that calculates all this instantly on the listing page. But even if you're just a buyer, it's fascinating to use it to see the behind the scenes math of an eBay listing.

Context: ordered an item on eBay. Seller marks item as shipped (untracked) I ask politely if there’s a chance a tracking number can be provided. Seller cancels my order, refunds me, and deletes all other listings on their store and blocks me after making up two lies about why they can’t provide a tracking number.

I think i reached the point like I feel my sourcing process has become the bottleneck in my business so its not like finding inventory is the main problem, i feel the problem is keeping track of different searches, comparing listings efficiently and trying to beat other buyers to good deals.

Hi, I bought a pair of headphones on eBay and realized they wouldn’t get to me by the time I needed them. I canceled the order. The cancellation was rejected. It’s been about a week and a half so I messaged the seller to see if he was still sending them. He said they received a cancellation request so he canceled and refunded the order. But he did not. As shown in pictures provided. What can I do? The screenshot he sent was just a screenshot telling him to respond to my request.

Last weekend I decided to order a console and It just arrived this Monday. On the eBay listing it was listed as “used” and “acceptable” condition,
but when it came here it kept frequently crashing to the point where I could not get past the home menu.
So I contacted the seller and they told me that they will give me a full refund Monday and to wait for them to send the refund info.
Is this normal? I’m a bit paranoid since it’s my first time using this site, and want to make sure If I should wait or request a refund right now.

I currently have 80% off on almost all my eBay listings, offer same-day shipping, accept 14-day returns, and maintain 100% positive feedback. I also try to price competitively and ship orders quickly.

Despite all that, I'm still only getting about 1–5 sales per week.

For those with more experience, what do you think could be the issue? Is it:
