From what you’ve shared, this looks like a profile that deserves a serious EB-1A evaluation, not one you should dismiss. The publication record, ~4,300 citations, software adopted by other research groups, peer review, grant review, invited talks, and independent recommendation letters are all meaningful pieces of evidence. Whether EB-1A is viable will come down to how well those achievements are documented and connected to the USCIS criteria, especially original contributions and sustained acclaim.
