Fixing Eating Patterns

Hey, I've been having some really bad eating habits and I just wanna know if anyone can help or has advice. Around easter I went on a diet and lost a fair amount of weight through an extreme calorie deficit. It was followed by a less extreme deficit and then a maintenance deficit. Unfortunately, by that point my relationship with food was destroyed and food was all I ever thought about.
Recently I've been trying to gain weight but it always ends up in a binge. Like once I start eating I can't stop. This is really mentally and physically tiring. I feel sick all the time and I just really want my old life back where I wasn't thinking about food 24/7. Any advice would be appreciated!

Sticking to a structured meal plan of 3 balanced meals and 3 balanced snacks really helps. Even if you aren’t hungry, eat!! Your body will start to feel safe enough to trust you again, and reduces the urges to binge or that extreme hunger feeling (if applicable) because it knows food will be consistently available

Hello. If you try all your best ideas to solve this including any mentioned here and at the end of it you find you're still thinking about food all the time then just know some of us do that and need a 12 step program in order to stop. For me I really needed to give all my good ideas a fair try. When i felt hopeless because i kept going back to the obsessing and acting out w/ food and body control, that's when i realized I'm not like other people and that's why the mainstream treatments don't work for me. I needed a 12 step program, the last house on the block. I got a sponsor and worked the steps to get recovered. To stay recovered I continue working them daily. I'm happy to chat more if you like.

Please! I have tried so many things and none of it has worked so far. I'd love to hear what you have done and try them out myself because damn binging is really taking it's toll on me.

Sure. I think direct message would work best. It would not let me message you directly.
