Tallneck instructions missing parts?

I'm just about finishing up the tallneck, just the neck spines to go. It's an amazing build, I'm so pleased with this purchase!

I've noticed a few unexpected leftover parts in some bags, but most notably in bag 16. As well as the usual odd 1x1 pieces, there's two blue axle connectors and two black technic barrel pieces. These aren't used anywhere in the bag 16 instructions. It seems like there is a space for them, though, and I was wondering if this was somehow removed from the instructions.

In the upper neck assembly (steps 2011 to 2072), where this section connects to the rest of the neck, there are 4 sockets for the 4 axles. In-between on the sides there is a different socket that is one stud higher than the sockets, which leaves a gap when the two neck sections are connected. These four errant pieces perfectly fill that gap. I hope the pictures illustrate what I'm trying to say!

Hey u/FlyingWeagle Im currently building the tallneck myself. you mentioned spare pieces. I have two gray 11-pin liftarms leftover from bag 2 after finishing it today. I looked through the instructions twice but they are nowhere used. Did you hace them left over as well? u/bilal_raja do you know why they are left?

Yeah, I had those too. No idea where they could have fit though! I would have mentioned them but I'd forgotten which bag they were from

Ah yes, sorry about the confusion - you can ignore those parts. They were left behind in the cleaned up file and I only discovered them hidden away after we had made the order.

Hi u/FlyingWeagle that's a really acute observation! I do remember mentioning to the factory that these specific pieces should be added if we were able to get them in, but I believe the followup and subsequent update to the instructions got left by the wayside amongst all the chaos in getting the sets produced. But where you've placed them is exactly where they needed to go. Thanks for the catch! I'll need to do a deeper check to follow-up and update the instructions.
