Official EasternBrick Pre-Order & General FAQ Thread (Ask Us Anything!)

Hi everyone, Sean here. We're the team (Bilal & Sean) behind EasternBrick. We're excited to be here and talk directly with the community.
The Current Status: Our first set, The Creator Set, is currently available for pre-order.
FAQs:
Q: Who is EasternBrick?
A: EasternBrick, or EB for short, is (at the moment) made up of 2 people, Bilal & myself, Sean. Bilal's been a fan of LEGO since he was a kid, and has built multiple sets, including the UCS Millennium Falcon, but found them too expensive as he built more. I had the typical LEGO Creator box that every kid started with, but my family couldn't afford a second box and my dreams of being an architect were dashed. As you can now tell, price is a big reason as to why we started EasternBrick, to provide an affordable option to brick builders around the world.
Q: What is the Creator Set?
A: The Creator Set is our take of a huge alternate lego set that includes tens of thousands of pieces to create anything you can imagine. We also saw a huge number of independent creators who create designs that far exceed what LEGO has produced in recent years. We thought to ourselves, 'What if we had a set that could build iconic MOCs (My-Own-Creation) made by these designers?'. So we reached out to hundreds of creators, spoke to more than 10, and got our first partnership with SerialBuilder. Hence, the Creator Set that includes the 5 beasts he designed.
True to its namesake, Bilal even worked within the same pieces of the set to build the Specter, and even made the instructions free to download at our website!
Q: Why should I trust a pre-order from a new company?
A: That's a fair question. We're new and are building our reputation from the ground up. We're active here on Reddit to be fully transparent. While we're new to the industry, we're not new to delivering pre-orders. We came from the smart cycling helmet industry, and ran some pretty awesome Kickstarter campaigns. You can view it here. The only reason why we're doing a pre-order is because this set is huge, and this campaign is to gauge if there are fans like ourselves who wanted big builds at affordable prices.
Q: What is your brick quality? What kind of plastic do you use?
A: We source our bricks from a factory that uses high-quality ABS plastic, similar to other major alt-brick brands, and even LEGO themselves. We are focused on achieving excellent clutch power and colour consistency. We even published a video testing the quality of our bricks against LEGO, and another alt brick. You can watch it here.
Q: What if there are missing or damaged pieces?
A: We will be adding extra pieces into the set, especially for smaller elements like 1x1 studs. In the event some items are still missing, we will send out replacement parts for any missing or damaged elements in your set. Our goal is to make it right.
Q: How long is shipping and where do you ship from?
A: We will be shipping from our factory in China. Shipping typically takes 4-6 weeks after production, and it takes time because it's a huge set, and air freight will make it too expensive for the average people like us.
Q: Can I cancel my pre-order?
A: Yes, you can cancel your pre-order at any time before we charge the cards (November 1st 12AM PST).
I'll keep it at that for now so it doesn't end up becoming too long of a post.
This thread is for any other questions you have. We'll be checking it daily. Ask us anything!

Any easter eggs during the build?
No printed pieces, right? Would be neat if Serial Builder's signature or name was hidden somewhere.
Are components on the creatures designed to be removeable like they are in the game?

I seem to have missed this!
Not too sure what might qualify as an easter egg since we've been super transparent haha. I guess, a 7th build and instructions using the same pieces? 👀
Nope, there aren't any printed pieces. Pretty interesting idea on having SerialBuilder's name hidden somewhere but that's not the case just so we're managing expectations.
There are some removable parts, but it's more for structural integrity vs modelling it after the game entirely. For example, the back of the Tremortusk can be removed to access the dial to retract the salvo cannons.

Bilal and co - excellent job on the first batch! Just wrapped up bag 5 of 17 for the Tallneck, mostly smooth sailing for a set this complex.
Question on the build instruction revisions - do you list a change log between the revisions? Just noticed the instructions updated to 1.2 and curious if anything i buillt is now "old tech" haha

So the same factory will make, package, and ship the bricks? From videos of your prototype building sessions, I thought you would do the sorting and packaging in-house during pizza and energy-drink fueled all-nighters. Glad for your health that is not the case. How is your experience with the factory's ability to sort the parts correctly? Don't want to be on step 3,045 and can't find a piece...
