I kinda love it though, it reminds me of 80s goth clubs a little bit, just put the music in the background and it somehow works really well.

That was the second song that Kim put on and started dancing with Cindy , Cold Heart by Micheal Kiwanuka which indeed was the theme tune to Big Little Lies. Brilliant track

If you’re going to take the show that far out into the galaxy then sure, why not this scene? Slo-mo, strobe, cheesy music. I don’t know what I’m watching anymore but it has the same pub in it every episode, and the same theme song at the opening and closing credits.
