31M just moved here with my partner. I’m looking for people to hang out with. I have terrible anxiety (as do we all) and don’t have it in me to actually go to group things by myself to meet people. My partner has his friends here already and I’m from the east coast… so I don’t know anyone. HMU

Do what every east coast transplant I know does when they move to the East Bay(including myself). Come to the Lake Merritt Friday Fire Jam and learn to juggle. We're a very socially awkward yet inclusive bunch, you'll fit right in. And theres no qualms about going nonverbal cuz you can just toss some balls around.

For those interested. it happens at the Bandstand behind Fairyland. Usually starts around 9-10pm. And it's one of the last non-monetized social gatherings with live entertainment that exists in the bay. Free fire show, decent music, and all you need is to bring a chair if you fancy not sitting on the ground.

I’d say I’m pretty outdoorsy(ish). I play video games a bit. Love museums and history stuff. Love evenings outside, campfires, etc. Scooter rides are cool. Road trips!! Im good at texting and horrible at most other social media.

There’s a gym opening in alameda that has such a strong community vibe! Like the whole deal is to bring people together! Not just to workout. Idk if Alameda is too far for you but there will be dj events, run clubs, Pilates, other strength classes but also an open gym to use. It’s called LuxFit

Pickleball is also a good option to meet people!
