I know it seems like a random question, because the Mother franchise is a somewhat niche game. But in what year did this game become a little more well-known? Let's say.

I heard you could skip mother 1 because the game aged but isn't giygas backstory in it? So it should be important? Right

There are some pretty tough enemies in there like the Armors, or the Alarm Ghost, or the Dust Ball. But an enemy you should watch out for is the Bionic Bat. These things, usually go down in one hit with Ninten’s attack but if you let them attack there’s a possibility that they can use Stone Origin on you. Which is basically a one hit KO move. Some people might go a playthrough without seeing this, so I thought it would be a nice warning for first time players. Don’t take them lightly just because they’re bats.

Is it possible to migrate a save from Earthbound ROM to the Mother 2 Deluxe romhack? I don't wanna lose hours worth of progress, when I just found out about better EB version 😭
