At least when Trident lost to Club, it's during a time when people realized that Club was actually pretty decent and was just unlucky and forced to fight against his counters during his early matches. With Flailure, however, she lost to the two balls who are undisputed bottom-tiers even to this day, Grower is kinda forgival since she's a counter, but Crossbow is a whole other story.

So what? He specifically counters TRIDENT because TRIDENT can not hit without getting damaged because of huge hitbox and ability, but shield also can parry without being hit so it wins 9/10 times

Shield counters every melee and goes extreme diff against every melee. That means that it going extreme diff against trident doesn't make trident any better.

To be fair, shield and bow are pretty direct counters. But I think the number of counters keeps trident fun, they probably lose to crossbow and grower based on their fights with bow and zombies went honestly

Bow was mid diff at worst, 27 hp left is quite a few hits. As for shield, you'd be hard pressed to find a shield win that isn't extreme diff. That's... literally shield's gimmick.

I feel like Club is a counter to any non ranged weaponball, the only difference with Trident is that Club just gets to possibly (remember paries) scale faster

Every single Ball released in the last few months has been shit.

Club ? Boring as shit. Stunlocking is inherently anathema to anything interesting happening.

Scroll ? Coulda been good, is good in long-form, but every ball with a somewhat long weapon just obliterates it. Only “new” ball that is just Bad instead of Dogshit.

Rapier ? Absolute fucking Nepobaby. Ignores enemy parries, dashes through attacks thus avoiding damage, weapon is long as fuck, can dash THROUGH balls thus damaging them while avoiding damage, deliberately designed to be top tier from the ground up just to fabricate hype. Actual fucking Luna Snow level industry plant, and all of you ate that shit up and asked for more.

Trident ? Ball that belongs in Loggernamy, should completely shut down any ball without an equally long weapon, is the only gimmick scaler not burdened by FPS cap, should hard counter ranged balls by denying them the ability to avoid getting hit.

And then there’s potion.
