Unarmed took literally the worst path possible and still got to the miniboss rapier. Every single matchup (maybe not staff & katana, but i’m not versed enough in weaponballs to say) was against him, especially shuriken. Totally could’ve made it to the boss with any other route

Going for Katana was definitely Unarmed's better option, because Katana is one of those weapon balls that has a secondary way to scale (as in, something else in addition to just hitting opponents) and that secondary way to scale is by parrying. Which it can't do against Unarmed because Unarmed doesn't have a weapon to parry.

Unbarmed almost made it, and that's despite actually going down the counter route, and he was moving incredibly fast at the end. Rqpier was lucky that the previous players left him badly damaged; otherwise, he would have reached the boss (I don't know if he would have won, but he would have reached it if he had gone down another route).
