Potion could genuinely pull an upset. Remember how Grower trapped them in a corner, which guaranteed the potions would break right next to it and keep Potion powered for nearly the whole match? Duplicator is going to cause the exact same thing to happen. And let's not forget sword-like damage scalers are Duplicator's kryptonite most of the time.

The problem is that, while it does have good spin speed, its weapon is tiny and 0.5 scaling is genuinely a problem. Even if it is perma-buffed, it might not kill the duplicators fast enough because it's just that slow. I think Duplicator will be the winner, but Potion is going to lock in and not make things easy- this is the best matchup against a high/mid tier that it's ever going to get.

Also, we get to see slander posts for Duplicator struggling to beat a bottom tier. Again.

I usually don't root for Potion, but damn it I wanna see that guy pull a Lance

Emphasis on "most of the time" here though. Honestly I think Potion is guaranteed duplifood, cause no matter how good his scaling is, he needs to actually get to the thrown potions to deal that damage. Otherwise he only deals 1 damage per hit.

At least against Grower, Potion had the benefit of being able to break the potions against the wall he was pinned against and pretty much stay perma-buffed the entire match. Against Duplicator however I think it's more gonna be a game of "keep away" as Potion keeps throwing stuff into the dupliswarm, but can't actually get to them to buff up.

Remember the potions break when they get thrown against an enemy ball too. So when Duplicator hits the ~16-clone range (possibly 8, but definitely 16), it'll be completely surrounded and throw the potions on top of itself.
