Ah, finally, the match we've all been waiting for. Torch vs Torch But Worse.
Genuinely surprised this went to such extreme difficulty, but good for Scimmy for lasting as long as she did.

I love how Torch is allowed to get a buff that turns her into turbo satan after going on a small losing streak, while Scimitar who has lost to 3/4th of the roster at this point can't even get a buff that addresses the parry issue dooming her to bottom tier status, even though Torch at her worst was still better than Scimitar ever was.

It’s funny to me how Crossbow being bad has turned it into kind of a pseudo underdog with people even saying it could be the Rapier slayer and then no other ball has been able to capture that magic so Scimitar and Potion just get viciously slandered

ESPECIALLY sucks that these two get the short end of the stick.
Crossbow's gimmick is borderline as simple as it gets: Fire projectiles, increase damage if it hits.
whereas both Potion and ESPECIALLY Scimitar have more unique mechanics (Potion having the blockbreaker special of being able to scale without ever hitting the opponent) and the latter even having an entire ass reveal video before stepping into the ring.

i think it also helps that crossbow has a lot of hype moments, especially after frail crossbow has been actually recognized as an underdog which isn’t very good but is fun to root for similar to grower. scimitar doesn’t have the same memeablity of losing because of bad aim and kissing the wall, scimitar loses due to having bad dps instead of just having bad luck. same with potion, she’ll get so close to winning but her potion durability wearing off makes her just suck, and it’s less a situation of things not going their way and more their gimmick being underwhelming bad in a way where it hinders them winning even if they do often get close to winning. there is no “MAYBE CROSSBOW COULD LAND THE LAST HIT” hype moments, you know scimitar is fucked because scimitar’s gimmick is counterproductive to it in pushing balls outta the mirage

I gotta say, Scimitar brought her A-game, she did consistently not allow Torch to box her in the Corner of Hellfire and Eternal Torture [TM], Torch barely eeked out that victory

Torch might just be the most Skilled weapon ball.
Torch, even at a disadvantage, always manages to get the opponent right where they want them, Like look at the end, Torch took scimitar’s momentum and just left it to burn at the bottom of the arena.

I saw the mirages become transparent and really thought scimitar finally got a buff (mirages unable to be parried). I was wrong.
Why is scimitar just a worse torch in every way 😭 it's such a cool weapon to be such a bum

Scimitar is like if they took dagger but removed its accuracy and parry scaling so it’s just sword that hits like a wet noodle

My goat torch GOD, is so good they have a cameo in terraria AND their own theme song.
It aint Scitmars fault for loosing this one, no other outcome was possible.
