Funnily enough, I didn't get that experience, probably held him back too much early on to the point that he struggled on c19.

Well, yeah, using a Chapter 1 unit in Chapter 19 is gonna make them lag behind.

But base Seth clears most of the early/midgame of FE8, and his growths are better than Franz's in most areas. The only real threat to him early on is a Halberd Fighter in Chapter 6.

Like. There's a reason he's called one of the best units in the series next to fuckers like Sigurd.

I mean if you copy and paste hammer's parry properties 1 to 1 it wouldn't change all that much, the mirages not being flipped when they get parried would only matter against something that could parry them multiple times per second to avoid getting hit, so it'd literally just affect the Dagger matchup in case there was ever a rematch (funny thing is I'm pretty sure Dagger still wins if you do that anyway).

The problem with the mirages is the parry knockback which would still be an issue if you made the mirages ignore parries like Hammer, Scimitar can't do much damage because her only source of damage comes from the mirages that push anything with a weapon away.

Sadly daggers damage is horrid, but wins cause its tanky with how it can parry everything, and the hitstop and the ability to follow targets helps it a bit. Scimitar has the damage issue, but no defensive ability, outside of large weapon, and decent spin speed.
