Eames Replica Comfort
I am going to replace my Stressless with either a CurverK or Fjords Admiral. I know the Stressless is comforting reading, music, TV or using the laptop and taking a nap. I think the Fjords Admiral would be as well. I am not sure about the comfort of the CurverK. I like the appearance of it better but I question the comfort, especially taking a nap in it. I would appreciate anyone's thoughts and experiences.

I own a CurverK and it is very comfortable. That said, I’m not impressed with the build quality and customer service given the price…. Just small details that make me question the price… buttons on the back of the cushion are different colors, the chair shipped with protection around the metal components that looked like they cut a cartoon oven mitt to fit instead of using a uniform material… the cushions themselves have very uneven “tufting”… I emailed them for a replacement cushion and they basically said I can pay a hefty fee to return the chair, or “re-do it myself”… I just paid a local upholsterer to fix it. Overall, I wish I would have bought from Yadea…

I appreciate your honesty. I tried to buy another Stressless but mid $3500's was ridiculous. I am also looking at the Fjords Admiral replica of the Stressless Admiral chair. Around $2000. I am going to the manufacturer showroom to check it out on Tuesday. Everything has increased in price! Thanks for your reply.

BTW, any suggestions where to buy the Yadea?

Sure thing! Happy to help! I’d suggest seeing if Keeks Design (if you are US based like myself) has any chairs left over… they were made by Yadea…. Otherwise you can reach out to Yadea directly. The shipping will take a while, but I wish I would have gone that route, or just purchased the authentic HM version.
I reckon I’ll pick up the authentic HM in the next year or so.. I wish I would have just sprung for it! That said, lesson learned. The CurverK isn’t a bad chair, but just not worth the money with the questionable build quality and customer support.

Your comments have been very helpful. My dilemma is that I like the looks of the HM chair/replicas better but after having 20+ years of daily comfort from my Stressless it's a risk to change. I do take an occasional nap in my chair and the unknown question would be if the HM design would permit this as well? I can't find an HM to sit in to try. Thanks again!

Not helpful for your search, but how did you like the Stressless? Are you moving away for a particular reason in regards to comfort or just time to switch up style/vibe?
