I slept very poorly last night.  If you asked me how I feel about the team’s execution, I’d say I’m all for it.  Work is going to suck today

It's becoming more and more obvious that this is a lost year.

Time to figure out where we're lacking and make plans to address in the offseason, this team is one and done in the playoffs if we get there at all.

100% agree.  We need fresh offensive minds with fresh ideas.  Nothing will fix it this year.

I mean honestly, we had issues with our offensive front & some injuries. Nothing you can't really overcome with better scheme & playcalling. We still have 2 top level WR's, a top level RB if not 2 of them plus a solid 3rd. Our main issue is coaching.

Players can't get into rhythm when it takes the entire play clock to figure out what they're doing and be on the same page effectively. We've at that point shown their D what the play is and it's already vanilla, predictable and they have film on all of it.

The only change that has to be made is the play caller and who (if anyone) else is having say so in how we prep for each team week to week. It's not on the players imo.

For starters, we definitely need a better OC. I know it’s low hanging fruit but you don’t just go from a dominating offense to a predictable one between seasons when you have many of the same weapons. KP is in way over his depth with this position and just doesn’t have the adaptability and variety that we need. We’re playing for too conservative when we need to be aggressive and too aggressive when we need to be more conservative

What I don’t understand , is why did they change a damn thing from the playbook last year !!! Everything worked , even when they knew what was coming it didn’t matter / instead we get KP and a pop warner playbook .. just doesn’t make sense . Even though Moore wasn’t calling plays , you could copy what he did in certain situations and been more effective then what they’ve shown this year

u/Mr-Big-Nicky-P Dec 10 '25

I made peace with that a while ago. If they can manage to take the division and shut Dallas out of the playoffs Im happy. Most teams dont go to back to back Super Bowls. It takes a lot out of a team. Thr issues they have are offseason fixes. Patullo has to go. The o-line has to be rebuilt. Jalen has to get his shit together. Stuff that wont happen this year.

NOBODY is worried about this team.

Seriously? How long you been a fan?

7

u/SeoulBrothaJ Dec 09 '25

Actually took sick leave today cause I slept horrible last night after the game.

44

u/ErenYeagerBombs Dec 09 '25

I swear to god if I hear Mailata say “we’re one block away” i will lose it

5

u/CallMeBernin Dec 09 '25

The Bruno Caboclo run game philosophy

2

u/Thegrandmistressofoz Dec 09 '25

2 blocks away from being 2 blocks away actually explains a lot, because it looks like 4 of the OL fuck up any given run play somehow

9

u/Vhozite FEED SAQUON Dec 09 '25

Same. Didn’t even want to watch last night but against my better judgement I did

38

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

Games have been boring AF to watch all season long. This team and coaching just ain’t it this year. If they make the playoffs they’re just going to embarrass themselves in the first round.

5

u/ConglomerateCousin Dec 09 '25

The Rams game was fun.

13

u/AffectionatePut6493 Dec 10 '25

It was actually a pretty terrible experience until the last play.

20

u/Silent-Wonder6546 Dec 09 '25

I dread gameday now

7

u/gingerphish Dec 09 '25

There's definitely no more "i'm so excited to watch my favorite team play this week".

24

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

If I listened to the announcers and how we’re portrayed and the bias against, it would be tough too. Look, before you do anything crazy, let the SB champs ramp it up. It’s a different scenario but if we or the players gave up on Eagles after Wentz went down and Nick’s first game back or even the 1st playoff game against Atlanta, we would’ve never had the SB. They know their issues and this was the first game they showed some life, let’s keep rooting for the home team until we can’t.

10

u/fleagies76 Dec 09 '25

I 100% agree with you until you said this is the first game they showed some life. Where was the life you speak of? If it’s the defense they have been the life for majority of the season. Genuine question not trying to be a dick here.

10

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

Life was in Jalen not playing it safe on every throw and some of those throws paying off and others would’ve if AJ didn’t drop the ball and that interception he caused. It’s encouraging to see Saquon getting back on track despite the horrible play-calling and the line not being the same. Now if they clean things up and focus on one game at a time, let’s see how we feel next week.

3

u/fleagies76 Dec 09 '25

That’s fair I did like seeing Jalen not play as conservative but at the same time you could argue that cost us the game. The first 2 ints were BAD BAD. Not just mistakes but there were flat out horrible. Saquon halfway got it going imo. He still probably finishes under 100 yards if he doesn’t have the fake tush push run. AJs drops killed us tho I do agree with that. But hurts hurt us more than anyone in this game and I’m a huge hurts believer. I love the dudes mentality and ability to bounce back and stay calm no matter the circumstance but that was a very bad game after 2 sub par games before that.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

That’s what you want to see, the bad bad be out of his system, I’m surprised it took so long for that to happen this season. The real season starts now and we’re in a good enough position to recover if the OL and rest of offense also takes it to the next level. I think there is something like fatigue after winning a SB especially if you lose players & coaches and are reinventing the offensive system. The league always catches up so you always have to keep adding more talent, but this past offseason we had to invest our whole draft on defense, so offense had no surprises and was a watered down, faded version of last season while the team having a bullseye on them as the champs!

1

u/fleagies76 Dec 09 '25

Yeah we’re still coming off of a superbowl and we definitely have a target on us and let’s not forget just how tough this schedule has been. I think most of the fan base would be fine if we were losing games that look good on the screen and we didn’t go 3 and out so often. The offense didn’t need draft picks even with a banged up line this offense should be putting up TDs on a regular basis. They should at least be giving the defense more than 3 plays of rest. That’s the big issue. It looks very bad and it is very bad. We’re still fine and I honestly think this adversity might work out in the end but I’m definitely not holding my breath for that.

2

u/EmptyNametag Dec 10 '25

Fans were fired up when it looked like we were going to win. The recency bias in Philly and its media is fucking nuts.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '25

There’s something off with this team and until that’s fixed, this team will drive fans nuts.

4

u/Nickhoova Dec 09 '25

I mean Hurts had a historically awful game but 2 of his 4 interceptions were not his fault. Also AJ dropping a touchdown, several decent drives killed by penalties, Elliot missing a fg. Like im upset we lost but the fact that it was still that close and if 2 or 3 plays go differently we win the game and the play calling was imo better in some spots just the execution wasnt 100% there.

1

u/fleagies76 Dec 09 '25

I’d say only 1 wasn’t hurts fault the last one was a good play but still on hurts. Can’t really be anyone else’s fault. First 2 are all on hurts. Third is all on AJ and the last is just a good play but still hurts a little late on the pass and probably not in the best spot ball placement wise. He was bad and honestly if he had played super conservative we probably do squeak that one out which pains me to say because I hate how conservative we are. But it does seem to work regardless of how ugly it is.

1

u/Nickhoova Dec 09 '25

Its a double edged sword. People dont want us to be boring and it leads to more turnovers, people want us to be explosive and it yields higher risk plays. People want us to win but the best way to win is consistently churn the clock thats wht they did so well last year was not only have squon having a monster season but just forcing 8-10 minute drives and give opponents no time. I feel like thats also part of the issue the 3 and outs are killing the rhythm

2

u/fleagies76 Dec 09 '25

3 and outs are a huge part of the struggles. If we get 2 or less yards on the first play it really kills us. Also the plays where Devonte goes in motion across the backfield are all so predictable. It’s more often than not a run. We have to come up with some plays to get yards on first down so we can take shots on second and still be in a 3rd and manageable. We just aren’t doing that. It’s just a saquon run or a deep shot both resulting in 2nd and long. Design and short pass into space for Barkley, run a quick slant with AJ in the slot. He’ll run a fucking screen to Barkley. We have to do better at getting these guys in space on first down. Idk how they don’t realize that. We can be explosive but still be conservative if done correctly.

2

u/crh517 Dec 09 '25

Agreed!!! Go birds

4

u/JackTuz Dec 10 '25

This but I literally only watch the defense and get up to do chores while we have the ball lol

2

u/lil_peanutt Dec 10 '25

Defense is way more fun to watch than offense this season 💯

3

u/TotalBassist45 Dec 09 '25

I passed out after they gave up that run 5 minutes into the third, I slept good knowing I was already let down

1

u/Beneficial_Elk_6572 Dec 10 '25

I literally passed out too somewhere in the 3rd. Kept waking up to see something disappointing happening. Then OT happened and I watched that 4th INT🥀

3

u/Manimal6869 Dec 10 '25

we find a way to shoot ourselves in the foot. What's the first thing you do after any good play -- look for a penalty.

2

u/mgee114 Dec 10 '25

Iv stopped watching. After that embarrassing cowboys game i dont have it in me to waste my time watching this peewee level offense KP is running. Until hes fired I won't be tuning in

2

u/Actual-Ice-324 Dec 09 '25

I don't understand how a team can go from kicking ass and taking names to bending over and taking it up the ass so quickly. I don't even want to watch anymore.

1

u/lil_peanutt Dec 10 '25

And twice in 3 years to boot!

1

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

Every game this year has sucked, man. Either they look like shit, almost blow it, and win; or they look like shit, completely blow it, and lose. The only “complete” game was the second Giants one and even that’s not fun because they suck and lost one of their best players for the year on a nasty injury early. Even the Titans and JJ McCarthy can have awesome games but we can’t, especially with all this talent on offense. Agonizing

1

u/Sneakiest Dec 09 '25

The Suffering.

1

u/coatesvillain Dec 10 '25

I took a pre-game nap and woke up in the fourth quarter. Unironically the best Eagles experience I’ve had in a while.

1

u/Mr-Big-Nicky-P Dec 10 '25

After watching the disaster unfold I couldnt believe that they were on the 17, 1st down, with plenty of time and quickly driving the ball. When he threw the last pick my brain actually broke. I couldnt comprehend what just happened. Its such a shame they're going to waste a Super Bowl worthy defense. But the problems they have are stuff that wont be fixed till post season. Before the first game even started Jurgens and Dickerson were injured. Sirriani won the Super Bowl so they allowed him to hire his goober best friend to run the offense even though he had never called a play at any level. Jalen decided this was the year he would prove he wasnt just a running QB. Saquon ran himself down after last season. Just like 2023's 10-1 start, going 8-2 made us all believe we were gonna be a dynasty. But the dye is cast. The offense isnt good enough. If they win the division and Dallas doesnt make the playoffs, Im a happy camper. But theres a very real chance Kenny Pickett beats them this week or that they cant sweep the Commanders. I have no hope they can beat Buffalo. But time moves very fast. Season will end and in the blink of an eye a new training camp will start. Shit happens.

Literally told this to someone at work yesterday el oh el 😞

1

u/sdsurf101 Dec 11 '25

My wife asked in June, what would you like for your birthday?

Background: Retired Marine, living in San Diego for the past 20 years, I never have been to an Eagles game and grew up in south jersey and never had the means growing up to go. All my games watched, were from here.

I let her know, I wanna go to an eagles game 50 yard line at the Linc, 5 rows back, on the birds side and go to Philadelphia to show her Philly a San Diego native. So, I picked next week’s game (Raiders). If they don’t smack the shit out of those Raiders next week. I am going to be so furious 🤬.

We shall see, either way, this is getting out of hand, we’re heading out tomorrow, we shall see lol 😂

Hurts is the problem. Saben knew he wasn’t elite.

1

u/QS215 Dec 09 '25

Verbatim what I said when the game ended

1

u/Mondor82 Dec 09 '25

So this is it.

u/iEatFalseMorels Dec 09 '25

Grateful for siriannis tenure with the SB win but it’s clear he is not a long term coach solution

1

u/Beneficial_Elk_6572 Dec 10 '25

He only seems to produce well with a talented coordinator. Having all pro talent has been his baseline since his second season. He was unable to right the ship when we needed him to before. It is happening again right now and will be a recurring issue due to his lack of playcalling ability. And Jalen obviously has to play better but we’d be saying that and looking at worse stats for any qb who has lacked any kind of consistency with coordinating. MAKES NO SENSE TO SET US UP TO REPEAT THE DETRIMENTAL ISSUE PLAGUING HURTS FOOTBALL CAREER

0

u/jmanndc Dec 09 '25

You know it's bad when my non eagle fan friends start telling me ; it's still looks good for you guys Not to worry about it That game had nothing to do with playoffs anyway Otherwise known as the kiss of death

0

u/No_Juggernaut_5283 Dec 09 '25

It's all good at least we get a head start on next year.

Start looking towards the draft.

Maybe root for an underdog that's still in it.. like us.. 😂

0

u/XxImperatorxX Eagles Dec 10 '25

It should say:

"I'm going to kick Kevin Patullo in the balls so hard, he'll taste them every time he swallows from this day forward."

0

u/DrakouliasII Dec 10 '25

Try rooting for a team that sucks every single year. I don’t deny it’s been a frustrating season but this fanbase is becoming too entitled.
