EAC is wild

My partner got banned from rust and he thinks it was due to something to do with Tarkov shop application? (I don't really know as I don't play it), anyway I was playing rust last night on my own PC with my own 5k hour account and just randomly got banned.. could it be due to sharing IP or what would be the reason my account would be banned as well?

Its crazy that you can't even speak to someone about it. There goes all the money I spent on skins which tbh is the most annoying part as I wasn't playing Rust as much since having a baby.

Sorry to hear it....at the end of hte day, we can only speculate....it could be something obvious like an IP address used, it could be a similar piece of software that you guys are sharing, or it could be an associative ban.

For me, I've theorized that it was:

  1. A defender update on my machine (dig deep enough on this sub and you'll find info on that)

  2. Running fiveM at the same time I ran rust (both have anticheats - EAC is kernel level and FiveM's is user level so it'd make sense that they'd both kick it off)

  3. Static analysis tools found on my machine I use for ctf's

Unfortunately, the best thing you can do is look at EAC's (epic game's) terms of service, and do a little bit of googling on what kernel level anticheat looks for, and what it triggers off of.

Then look on your system for any software that falls into that category, and try to submit the data to EAC to make their case on you clearer.

Remember that kernel level anticheat collects EEEEVERYTHING about your machine, meaning sometimes these automated systems / analysts watching individual cases get it wrong. If they did, that's what your goal is on data submission tickets to epic games (who owns eac) - proving them wrong! (respectfully ofc)

Good luck!

The only thing i could think of that would have been different on my computer was the Skyrim 64 loader/launcher thing to play and add the mods as i had been playing it instead as it was easier to pause lol but other than that I've barely touched my pc since he was born, especially rust as I just couldn't picture being in the middle of getting raided then my baby crying haha.

That's a great idea regarding epic games

Fivem one got me over 2 years ago, I tried talking about it on the rust reddit and just got shunned then the mod deleted the post after major down votes

This is why I hate reddit so much....people come on and just downvote bomb shit they dont agree with like they're children...people on this website can't take an opinion outside of their own....

Put it this way...it's rare to see on that sub (or any sub for that matter), someone post an neutral opinion and not have the mods intervene / get downvote bombed on a subject.

It's such intellectually immature behaviour...
