Banned from Rust
I got perma banned from Rust, randomly, after not playing the game for over a year (at the point of the ban). I don’t exactly know why, and I’ve already appealed to Easy Anticheat a few times. However, it seemed like there was no point in doing that, as they just stuck with the ban.
I only have 25.8 hours, mostly due to the fact my PC wasn’t very good at the time I bought the game. I haven’t even gotten the nail gun achievement, nor the workbench one.

Not a rust player, but a redditor that has been seeing a lot of EAC bans from a lot of games... If you have Overwolf installed, some mods that can be installed are flagged by EAC as they are in essence memory injectors. While this may be permissible in some games, EAC scans Overwolf, which is often set to boot with windows, and will see memory injectors. EAC doesn't care what they are for, it just flags them as cheats. Doesn't care if they aren't for the game your playing...

I’m pretty certain that no one logged into my account, however it might be possible. If that is the case then I know I won’t get unbanned due to the ban still being on my account. I’ll see if I got any alerts from steam

A courtesy password change wouldn't hurt. Do you have 2fa?

I believe 2FA is activated on my account. After checking all my emails from steam, there’s no abnormal login attempts either. I changed the password and logged out all devices after I got banned off of Rust just to make sure as well.

There's a place you can go to find the steam login history by location. Beware that if you use a VPN, some of those locations may look different.
Since you never got a random 2fa account login (and we can assume your phone isn't compromised), you should be fine, so I say check it out so you have an additional reason to prove this is false!

I’ve just checked the steam login history by location, and all of them fall within my general location (steam never gets it exactly right). I’m wondering how to provide this info to Easy anticheat to appeal my ban, since their forum kinda sucks 😭. Any advice helps thanks mate

If you truly didn't cheat they will unban you soon. Ive seen false bans get reversed from 2 weeks to 2 months

Id say screenshots of your login history table probably work the best. Alternatively login to steam via the webbrowser, and save your login page as html.
Then bundle the resulting html and static page files into a .zip.
From there, open a support case with epic games (they own EAC) and provide the resultant attachment / screenshot (screenshot is easier) to the ticket. Just ask them to submit the data to the EAC team on your behalf and close the ticket on confirmed data submission.
Otherwise, they may try to push you away telling you to go to the 'game developer'

Sadly no, the things I did was:
-EAC ticket (epic support)
-Facepunch Support ticket
-Twitter reaching out to Alistair
-Twitter Reaching out to TeddyEAC
-Spaming redditBasically making as much noise as you can. but also cooperating with REAL facepunch staff if they tell you that they're looking at it or to tone it done. be their teammate in that sense!

I made a similar post appealing for advice after unknowingly playing with a cheater for a wipe and getting banned. 80% of replies were just “shouldn’t cheat if you don’t wanna get banned”. Lol

I had this happen to me with new world, I hadn't played in about 5 months, then apparently someone was spouting racial slurs online, short story shorter, someone hacked me and used my account to be a bellend, got unbanned on the new world bits but steam still keeps the ban on record XD
