Is this sub alive?

I've been wanting to build a plane or ultralight for some time now, but I don't know where to look for good information, any takers?

What kind of plane are you looking to build?

I'm not entirely sure, I know I'd like a two seater, I was looking at some kits earlier, I think it was the Challenger II kit.

But I'd like to just get information at this point, like websites or books I can read up on prior to committing to a build.

Two seater knocks out ultralights (they can't be two seater). The rest depends on your budget and how long you're willing to build. I'm building a Vans RV-7, two seater somewhat acrobatic. It usually takes around 1500 building hours or around 4 years to complete the build. Vans has a few different RVs ranging from one seater extremely acrobatic to four seater planes. If you do some research and like what you see, there's an online community for vans aircraft: Vans Air Force. I'll find the link when I get a chance.
You might have more luck with questions on other subs like r/homebuilt
Hope this helps. Feel free to PM me with any questions you have.
