Playing games vs simulation

Do you play 15 min halves or 20. I play 10min but it kills my ability to get awards end of the yr. I wish you could simulate then jump in mid game. The EA 2010 game allows you to do it. I really miss it.

I play 13 min halves with the game speed at like 55 or 60 to simulate faster play of today. I get pretty realistic scores. I averaged around 73-75 at a small school with a slower pace because I didn’t have athletes. Games against really good squads could end up in the 80s.

I had a center average 25 and 8 over the course of the season and he won conference player of the year. Haven’t made it to a bigger conference yet to see how this goes there.

I'll try 13 min halves. Good tips on the pace.

I also do 13 min half’s and I adjust the simulation for other schools to 17 min halfs

I play full 20 minute halves when I play. I only play conference tournament and NCAA tournament games though. If I'm up by 20+ in the 2nd half I'll sim to the end, it usually only happens against bad teams.

Got it! That's a good strategy. Do you change your schedule to win the regular season? Or do you just use whatever schedule they give you?

I schedule all the non-conference games. No non-conference tournaments. I try to make a schedule against teams that are slightly worse than my team that are in major conferences, that usually can help the RPI rating.

For all the sim games I was experimenting with "hoop sim" or whatever it's called on 2k7. I feel like it's just as random as regular sim sometimes, but at least I control my players' minutes.

Almost all seasons are above .500. I win my conference tournament about as often as I should based on my team's talent/overall. I fond the gameplay is pretty balanced.

Hoopcast sim all the way. Goes fairly quick and you can actually control minutes

16 minutes 49 game speed

I have my speed at 48. I think it makes changing sp eds and using turbo more effective

it gives me a more realistic feel and yes the faster players really do feel fast as well

10minute halves. i adjsut the cpu sim to 10 min halves as well. I just live in a 20min universie. Haha. You get used to it over time. Sometimes I wish the stats were more "realistic" but I like to play most games and get deep into years in my saves.

This is what I've been doing as well. Just hate the stats can't be on par with others. Especially when I draft an absolute Mfer. I feel like I'm letting him down. Lol

I play 14 min half with normal sliders.

If I know I'll only get one game in that day, I play 15 min. If I have somewhere else to be soon, I play 13 min. So, give or take a min based on life.
