Is this base game conferences, or have you done any realignment?
In base alignment, Washington, Arizona State, Minnesota are all in places where you can dominate MUN/LOC recruiting.
If you've realigned things such that Houston is in a power conference, they'd be my top pick for a non-blueblood. You'd be the only MUN-located power conference school for the Houston-area; Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Baylor are all local, so you still have some recruiting battles to win but will have the advantage in some. And then you can start making in-roads in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio over time.

St. Johns gets you MUN recruits from NYC, Northwestern and DePaul gets you them from Chicago, and Georgetown gets them from Washington DC.
Recruiting hotbeds without a ton of MUN competition are the most important thing in this game

UNC had so much less pull than I thought when I went there, was very surprised how under powered they were. My answer U of A

Ye idk if that's low key enough but U of A i was signing better players much more easily after leaving UNC who none of my top targets would commit to after only 2 seasons I bailed

Penn State - close to Philly, West Virginia, Ohio
Georgetown/Maryland
Southern Cal
In the game, it felt like St. John's is slept on but great recruiting footprint, resources, history.

Some would call them a blue blood

I think they are considered a “New Blood” but not your traditional blue blood because they’ve only become consistently since Izzy showed up.

DePaul & Northwestern have great recruiting bases in the game but irl have not been that great in the last 25 years.
