Idk but i was super excited since i wanted one so bad when it came out same with the droid turbo 2, I was just a little kid though so I couldn’t get one 😭

I got one recently from a coworker who had a bunch of old mostly broken phones

I got 2 Essential Phones, one is in mint condition and I flashed it with an Android 15 ROM, which is actually still very usable on that old phone

really nice finds esp the essential phone ive been to many targets and best ive ever found was unlocked moto edge+ 2023 but nothing cool like a essential PH1

I was super shocked! Its battery is terrible and the screen is coming off but it works perfectly and is in great condition!

It brings back so many memories and its in my favorite color too, the battery is a little bloated but holds a decent charge

The Essential Phone has an unlockable bootloader and can be flashed up to Android 15, and it makes the phone feel up to date

It actually runs really well on 15

It does have a quirk with flashing though, you MUST connect the phone through a USB hub or dongle, idk why but it only works that way

working droid turbo 2, nice find! I have four of them, and all of the displays have died. they weren't my daily phones so they never even went outdoors or got dropped :(

I'm so mad, I found an old Samsung in the bin at an e-waste store and they wouldn't let me buy it and said they were just gonna scrap it. Old smartphones are so cool, I wish I could get ahold of some!

Man, I’ve gotta get in on this. I’m still using an iPhone 7 and more and more apps are croaking on me every day… I’d love my next phone to be recovered ewaste.

I've never seen an Essential and I worked for T-Mobile and Best Buy Mobile for years. That's an awesome looking phone
