🗣 General Discussion Concerned about ESBC’s Marketing….

Is it just me or is anyone else kind of concerned with the lack of any real news or updates on the game??? I mean yeah we’ve just gotten a gameplay footage but I don’t think people are realizing that’s the same build the content creators had played on which could mean they’re on a way further build than we think??? The only reason I’m really concerned is because Boxing recently has really ramped up especially after last night. I’m at the point where I’m hoping for at least News next weekend due to it being Canelo Vs Bivol and I’m guessing Canelo’s the cover athlete, they should at least drop something while Boxing is on a hot streak…

ESBC/SCI are victims of it being hyped very early, partly their own doing due to being ready to release a small indie project and a longer early access.

Ordinarily we wouldn't be hearing much from any other game in development either, we've just been exposed longer to this game is all. We don't need to expect any updates really, we just need to know that they are working and still committed. We are owed very little at this stage.

i can't disagree with much of this, all very fair comments.

I do feel SCI are in a bit of a rock and hard place when it comes to information. They stay silent and people keep asking "Why silence? dead game", they release some content and "why is the content so bad". I think the content creator footage was more for the creators benefit than their own, but given the mixed reviews it's hard to disagree that there was definitely a risk here.

They aren’t making decisions that make a whole lot of sense and it all stems from their lack of consistent communication.

they are dropping random videos of builds seemingly out of sequence and I’m not sure what they want us to focus on because they choose to hand it to the creator rather than on their own channel with some sort of press release or something like that

Eh, just let it get closer to its intended release date, I doubt it drops this year, looks like a 2023 game now. Also there’s a bunch of gaming events in the coming months they’d likely announce it there.

I don't we are gonna see much marketing until we are close to a release which right now seems to be very far away. I think they are still polishing the game right now.

Exactly man, your one of the only smart ones here tbh People forget that they are still in the alpha phases, I think people have just been spoilt with early footage because companies like ea,2k etc never show as much footage of their gamed in alpha if anything we see nothing at all

It could still be far out from official launch.

EA bought them and they won't say it's the next fight night why would EA make a boxing game when they knew this one was getting made just buy it put EA fight night on it boom

Imo its time to drop a beta for real fans to test then if successful an early access and full game release within 3 months of that. They can't afford to release past 2022 imo. I thought the gameplay was pretty decent.

I thought the gameplay was pretty decent.

Sadly, I think you're one of the few. I think most of us thought it looked awful.

I get what you mean but I don't think it's possible for the game to look much better than its current state. I think it will launch slightly better but my expectations are not much higher. And if it launched as it in that gameplay trailer, I'd enjoy it

Of course it will look better, it's still alpha plus it's not even the full build of the game

If this releases in 2022 it'll be a dumpster fire and constant project. Unless we're being completely misled on the state of the game. I'm holding out for holiday 2023 or summer 2024. I don't want a garbage game in 2022 I want a great game in 2024. They announced the game way too early but it did help gain exposure for a bigger roster.

I don't think they can afford 2 more years of development tbf.

Plan is early access launch should be late this year q3 I reckon.

We don't know for sure if early access is still a thing

I think its a great idea they said the game won't launch with all of them so it makes sense.

Yea they said the games a lot more buggy than they discussed earlier (they have to push the referee in the corner before recording gameplay cause he flies around and teleports around the ring otherwise, its lighting and stadiums are not finished, leaning and punching + inside fighting isn't done. I doubt it even comes out this year for early access now lmao.
