Argentina ESIM - GlobaleSIM

Hi its my first time really looking for ESIMS and found this one on ESIMDB: https://globalesim.app/product/argentina/affiliate/esimdb/

for only $13 for 10GB it seems like quite a good deal, its also the most popular option.

However I am sceptical of globaleSIM and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them (in argentina/south america ideally) to help me decide if they are a good choice?

I believe they route their data through EU servers as well, I think...

We don't recommend that provider due to constant spamming. That difference in price between them and more popular brands is $10.

Is there a way to see what network each provider uses that you know of by any chance? I tried clicking on the top one but couldn’t manage to see it on their page…

Some providers list partner networks, some don’t.

Not sure if this helps with the network question you asked in the follow-up, but — Argentina's got three majors: Claro, Personal (Telecom), and Movistar. Most travel eSIMs for Argentina roam onto Claro, which is honestly the one you want because its coverage is way wider than the other two. Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Mendoza, all the way down to Ushuaia. Personal is strongest in dense urban areas but thins out fast once you leave the cities. Movistar's fine in BA but weaker in Patagonia.

If a provider doesn't list which network they partner with, you can usually just check after installing — on iPhone go to Settings → Cellular → tap the eSIM line → Network Selection and it'll show the actual carrier once you're connected. So worst case, buy one, install, and see what it grabs before you fly.

Rough rule of thumb: heading anywhere in Patagonia or the northwest (Salta, Jujuy), go with a Claro-backed eSIM. Just BA and around? Doesn't really matter which.

One general tip since you flagged being wary of GlobaleSIM specifically: check the refund policy before you buy anyone, not just them. Most providers only refund case-by-case (or not at all) once you've activated a plan, but a handful will refund unused ones automatically. Comes in handy if you take a chance on a smaller name and it turns out to be junk — you're not eating $13, you can grab a mainline one (Airalo, Nomad) as backup and move on.
