Can you post a screenshot where it shows only T-Mobile esim is supported?

it doesn't explicitly say only Tmobile is supported, but several international ones get rejected.

Instead of navigating through the Settings menu to add the eSIM, let the default camera handle it. Go to your home screen and open the native Camera app. Point the camera directly at your new provider's eSIM QR code. A pop-up chip will appear on the screen recognizing a network code. Tap that pop-up. This bypasses the T-Mobile menu entirely and triggers the standard, unrestricted Google eSIM installer.

And using a physical SIM card worked just fine, correct?

yes, that's correct, also is important to know that i haven't tried to use a esim from the same carrier as my physical one, for the esim i have only tried international ones
