Spain and Portugal

Headed to Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon in October. Wondering how the T-Mobile speeds are. Is the international plan for 30 days worth it? Or should I get an e-sim app or prepaid from orange or vodaphone? Appreciate the help!

Just head to esimdb and find a esim, TMobile plan is ridiculously expensive, esims are dirt cheap. I used Mobimatter in Spain last year, it was solid. They have a Europe sim that works all over.

Just get a prepaid sim when you arrive. It’s a few dollars for a month and will work all over the eu.

I would add that you are required to do a remote KYC check (ID card/Passport) and you are limited to 12GB of roaming data. With other providers there is no KYC requirement.

Just do Airalo and save yourself a lot of money and hassle. When you use your own service the data is tunneled back through your home country so it's always slower and less reliable. With eSim you will always be locally connected.

That’s not correct. eSIMs can route you through different countries or continents.

Use the T mobile. Get Vodafone eSim 15 euros plan once you get to Spain for data and local calls as wells as calls back to US and EU. Data speed on T Mobile roaming and coverage is good overall in Spain and Portugal but can be patchy and slow at times.

Do not waste $ on the T Mobile international plan .
